About Ambedkar Jan Kalyan Seva Samiti

Society is a Non-Profit Voluntary Organization dedicated for Social Cause. Its working in the Field of Handicrafts, Handloom, Agriculture, Micro and Small Industries, Fisheries, and Education. Major Projects have been implemented in the districts of Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Sravasti, Kanpur and Lucknow.

Focus Crafts

Chikankari

Chikan is a delicate and artful hand embroidery done on a variety of textile fabric including silk, muslin, organza, chiffon, net etc.

Patchwork

Patchwork or “pieced work” is a form of needlework that involves sewing together pieces of fabric into a larger design.

Terracotta

Terracotta, also known as terra cotta or terra-cotta, is a term used in some contexts for earthenware. It is a clay-based non-vitreous ceramic, fired at relatively low temperatures.

Moonj

The craft takes its name from Moonj grass and Kaasa grass. These wild herbs are hand-harvested and then skillfully crafted to knit into exquisite baskets.

Tharu Embroidery

Tharu applique is a form of textile art that involves the intricate cutting and stitching of fabrics to create stunning designs and patterns.

Zari Embroidery

Zari is an even thread traditionally made of fine gold or silver used in traditional Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani garments, especially as brocade in saris etc.
